Project '36 -2 05/01/01

I wanted the rear mounted spare tire and tailights to retain the original character that the ‘36 was designed with. Why change something that was so beautiful and distinctive as it was originally manufactured by Ford? That’s why I have always loved the look of the ’36. Don’t mess with perfection!

The Interior was done in pure white leather. The seat was purchased and upholstered Tea’s Design. The balance of the interior was sewn by Victor Zuniga of Zuniga’s Custom Auto Upholstery in Reseda, California. Interior candy painting including steering wheel applied by yours truly. 24 Carat gold plated horn ring matches gauges. I fabricated the console myself out of plywood and fiberglass cloth (ala boat type construction). The air ride controls and gauges are hidden away behind a 1/4 inch hidden hinged plywood door in the console with a magnetic latch. Shown open)
